Can't download messages from Mail Server (Dovecot, postfix)

I am running Fedora 10, Postfix and Dovecot

I recently changed the password of a user using the 'passwd' command.

The problem is that the user can no longer receive their email messages in Thunderbird (Authentication Error).

However, they can still login using SquirrelMail and get their mail.

What has happened?

I fixed it.

I had to set the password using VirtualMin instead of using the passwd command.

Virtual Min -> Edit Virtual Server -> Configurable Settings -> Administrator Password
