Can't mount NTFS partition .iso files

Ubuntu 10.4

I cannot mount an iso of an NTFS partition.

Code:
sudo mount -t ntfs -o loop HendrixSDA1.iso ./mnt
Failed to read last sector (31214231): Invalid argument
It then goes on to say the partition may be corrupted. Is there a way to force it to mount?

Thanks,
WT

To mount iso u can run this command:
sudo mount -o loop /test.iso /mountlocation
To unmount:
sudo umount /mountlocation
see i have find this method from(THANX TO HIM):
http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2747/...unt_iso_files/

Prior to issuing the command above I entered:

Code:
sudo mount -o loop HendrixSDA1.iso ./mnt
It asked me to specify the type, so I added it -t NTFS parameter. My other NTFS iso mounted fine with this command, but not one of them. I'm guessing because the .iso file got corrupted... perhaps, dd didn't finish correctly??

Is there a way to force a mount or any way to access the contents of the file in general?

Thanks,
WT

I think what you mean is an image, not an ISO. ISO-images are images of CDs or DVDs with ISO9660 file-system. Seeing you error-message I think that your guess is right, the image seems to be corrupted. If dd hadn't finished correctly you would have get an error-message stating that.
Linux knows no fsck for NTFS, so a file-system repair is not possible with Linux. You may want to try it with photorec, if that data really is important (which seems not to be the case, unless you simply forgot to test your backup strategy).
