Can't install a Xen VM: ValueError: Could not find an installable distribution at
I extracted the files for and ISO, uploading them and then pointed Xen to install from the URL, but I get the error:
ValueError: Could not find an installable distribution at How can I make a valid install location for Xen from an unpacked ISO? |
Hello,
If I understand what you did, you have to make the ISO file available to the Virt-Install application. That can be via the local file system, HTTP or FTP. I personally use the local file system. Example: /install_image/CentOS/CentOS-5.2-x86_64-bin-DVD.iso Hope this helps, Scott |
when I install the "microsoft windows 2003.iso ", have an error :Unable to complete install: 'Could not find an installable distribution at '/mnt/win2003.iso''
When I used "freeBSD ISO" Unable to complete install: 'Could not find an installable distribution at '/iso/6.2-RELEASE-i386-bootonly.iso'' But when I used "CentOS-5.2-i386-bin-DVD.iso" it can worked. |
Does the FreeBSD ISO have Xen? CentOS has xen compiled into the kernel. It sounds like the FreeBSD does not have xen compiled in to the kernel.
