Can't connect from slackware nfs client to rhel nfs server

I can't connect from slackware nfs client to rhel nfs server.
However, I can connect from rhel nfs client to slackware nfs server successfully.

I use slackware 9.1 x86 and redhat enterprise 5.2 x86_64.

Both firewalls are disabled:

#iptables -L
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination

When I try to connect from slackware to redhat connection closes (I see this with iptraf)

REDHAT:
# ifconfig eth0 | grep "inet addr"
inet addr:10.1.1.1 Bcast:10.20.255.255 Mask:255.255.0.0
# cat /etc/exports
/mydir *(rw,async,no_root_squash)

SLACKWARE:
# mkdir /mydirlocal
# mount -t nfs 10.1.1.1:/mydir /mydirlocal
(waiting forever)

I suppose this is version-related issue.
How can I resolve this problem ?

REDHAT:
# rpm -qa | grep nfs
nfs-utils-1.0.9-33.el5
nfs4-acl-tools-0.3.1-1.el5.1
nfs-utils-lib-1.0.8-7.2.z2
system-config-nfs-1.3.23-1.el5

Regards.
Leandro.

what's the output of netstat -anp | grep LISTEN on the server that won't let you connect.

Also the output of route -n on both.

There isn't networking problem.
The machines have the same subnet, and ping, and see one each other.
