Cacti Generating higher CPU Utilization.

Hello,
I have a problem with my cacti server that it maximizes the server CPU utilization.
check the below screenshots:
http://db.tt/NGP2FhFT
http://db.tt/xGyUqOxh

I detect the problem a few months ago and I supposed there was a few problem with my server(may be hardware). So that I migrate that server to a new hardware. But still the problem persist.

I give you the screenshots of my latest server. you can find that rrdtool causes high CPU utilization. But previously my CPU utilization was normal(3-4%).

Please give me a suggestion what I am doing wrong.

Thanks in Advance

Bayzid

No idea, since there aren't many details to go on. Things like version/distro of Linux, what kind of hardware you're running it on, how its configured, version of Cacti (and rrdtool), and how many devices you're monitoring. If you went from monitoring ten devices to 2,000, then you'll obviously have increased load.

Also, you say it's been doing it for MONTHS....the obvious question would be "what changed when the problem came up?". New PHP pages? Updates?

1. the graphs show a big change about the 3rd of the mth and again about the 29th. What did you do to the system at those times?
2. the top output would be better with full info. However, I note that php is the highest user, not rrdtool (although they may be related is this server is dedicated just to monitoring
3. is this a physical or virtual server

As TB0ne said, we need more info.
