BIND9 configuration for internal LAN

Hi, i have a web server and ftp server blah de blah, that i access from the internet, however whenever i'm on the same LAN as the server i cannot use it's URL because my router's config comes up, even if i change the port number of the config i still do not see my page.

i know how to configure this server to have a url on my LAN, presently www.person1873.com (dont bother trying this, it wont work from the outside of my network)

i want to have it set to something like myftp.person1873.com or mysite.person1873.com, how do i configure this? i just want to configure bind9 to use one of those host names instead of www

Have you already installed bind? There are many howtos eg http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/w...onfiguring_DNS should get you started.
Try that and let us know if you have any specific qns.
