I have a primary Bind server on FC9 and two slaves on Windows and FC9.
The problem is that the slaves are not receiving zone updates. What I have tried so far is deleting the zone files on the slave server and restarting BIND. The zone files got recreated on the slave with the OLD versions of zones (the ones it got when I originally set it up). It looks like the slave is pulling the zone information from some sort of cached location and not receiving the latest zone updates.

Another interesting error i get is:

zone XXXXXX.com/IN: refresh: retry limit for master mymasterIP#53 exceeded (source 0.0.0.0#0)


Any ideas?

when you updated your master zone files, did you increment the serial
number? and was the daemon restarted in your primary?
