Bind Reload setting without disturbing cache

Hi Folks,

I have a question that, if i want to add or modify zone files in dns, then how to reload the setting without clearing the cache. Is there any possibility. Please tell me.

Regards,
BAS

When modifying a zone, you can use:
Code:
rndc reload zone
You can also add zones dynamically using rndc and even change bind configuration without restarting the daemon (in some cases)
See this and this for details

rndc reload do not clean the cache. It just reloads the zone(s) updated. If you want to clean the cache use "rndc flush".
I couldn't find another link on the matter, except this (look the 14.2.3.3 paragraph).

Cheers
