Bind issue with secondary master server

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I have two name servers, dnssrv1 and dnssrv2.
dnssrv1 functions as a primary master while dnssrv2 is a secondary master.
For some reason when dnssrv1 becomes unavailable, folks are unable to do nslookups in my network. Also they are unable to browse the internet.
My named.conf.local has these inputted:
zone "csaa.com" IN {
type slave;
notify yes;
file "/var/cache/bind/db.csaa.com";
masters { 10.10.11.10; };
};
....and much more.

My /etc/resolv.conf
domain csaa.com
search csaa.com
nameserver 10.10.11.10
nameserver 10.10.11.11
nameserver 67.5.232.22
nameserver 67.5.232.23

I'd like to function as when the primary master is unavailable, the secondary master will operate as the prime name server until the primary master becomes available again.

Basically if dnssrv1 is unreachable, dnssrv2 will still provide name service to the network.

Can someone please advise on what I am missing here?

Cheers!
DB

Are you sure that they have dnssrv2 among their dns servers?
Can dnssrv2 resolve local hostnames and external domains?

Yes they do have dnssrv2's ip for static clients. But for dhcp users, they're just dynamic...
dnssrv2 can resolve local host names and external domains.
I have new discovery, for some reason this only affects wireless users.
Wired users have no issues even tho dnssrv1 is offline.
Any thoughts?

They can connect to other wireless networks if there's one in range. Do a sweep to see what's available.
Also to check your wireless security.

what about firewall setting for dnsserv2? would it helps if you do a tcpdump to capture if there's any traffic coming in or from the log file itself?

just my 2cent opinion...
