BIND DNS Issue

Hi all.

I'm trying to set up an IPv6 BIND 9 server, but am having some issues.

I've set it up, and the IPv4 lookup works fine:

> pc1.comte.co.uk
Server: 2001:800::2
Address: 2001:800::2#53

Name: pc1.comte.co.uk
Address: 192.168.0.1

but when I try to do a lookup on an IPv6 address, it doesn't like it at all:

appa.comte.co.uk
Server: 2001:800::2
Address: 2001:800::2#53

*** Can't find appa.comte.co.uk: No answer

This is my zone file:

;
; BIND data file for local loopback interface
;
$TTL 604800
@ IN SOA ns.comte.co.uk. root.comte.co.uk. (
2 ; Serial
604800 ; Refresh
86400 ; Retry
2419200 ; Expire
604800 ) ; Negative Cache TTL
;
IN NS ns.comte.co.uk.
comte.co.uk. IN AAAA 2001:800::2
ns IN AAAA 2001:800::2
appa IN AAAA 2001:800::2
pc1 IN A 192.168.0.1
pc2 IN A 192.168.0.5

If anyone had any ideas I'd be very grateful!

Cheers.

"No Answer" doesn't seem to be giving a lot of search result tips, other than confirming that it is a proper response. Have you looked in the log files following a restart of Bind and a run of the query? A lot of times that will give you a clue as to what is causing the problem.
