Question Bind conditional DNS responses?


I'm administering a network with a forwarded domain. The users would like to be able to use the same url to visit the site inside the network as is normally visible from the internet. Is there some way to make a conditional entry in bind that would change the name resolution for the internal network?

Yes, you want to use views, so that anyone inside the LAN gets the LAN address for the site, and anyone outside the LAN gets the WAN address for the site. I wrote up an example how to do that here:

No problem, BIND is one piece of software I feel very comfortable with.
