I am going to mad. All of a sudden my server stopped to serve STATTLS!

I had lot of problems with viruses last weeks, so I put clamav to my sendmail server. It worked well until I was on my Slackware desktop. (As I finally found out clamav has nothing to do with it)

My windows PC was a "little" infected so I tried lots of anti-virus programs to clean it out: nod32, AVG, Kaspersky ... with no success. I installed avast at last and It cleaned out the infections succesfully, but now when it is clean I get the message (from thunderbird) that my mail server does not support STARTTLS.

From the commandline I tried telnet server 25 > EHLO client > and STARTTLS really was not there. But when I log into my server with ssh and tried the EHLO on localhost the STARTTLS was there.
So I turned off avast and the STARTTLS was there again.

This is insane - I really going to give it up with Windows ...

(Maybe this information will be useful for someone - I searched for it in forums and didn't find anything)

Yes, it's a strange world. You can find some hits about it in google, but seeing it for the first time is traumatic.
