Question auto sending mail on deletion ???

hi to all,
i m using centos 5.4 for Data Server, there i hv shared a directory to store data. i want, when ever owner of that data does delete any thing from directory, system should send me a mail with logs of that deletion action with the detail some thing like bellow

1- IP of system, from where owner did access the server and delete the data.
2- Date, Time and Name of File with Path.

These logs should be sent me by email automatically.

Please tell me, how is it possible and what and where location i hv to do that configurations.

Best Regards:

Mian

Spell your words out. Possible? Yes. How? YOU write a program to do it. As far as what kind, that depends on what you're talking about, and you don't provide enough details to give any sort of meaningful answer.

If you mean deleting files via a web interface, it'll have totally different requirements/languages than if you did it in BASH. And if you're talking about Windows users deleting via a Samba share...that's a whole other animal.

Here's a possible solution:
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/op...x.html?ca=drs-

that works with individual files, but you might be able to modify the code to work on all files in a directory.
