Hi,

I have configured samba pdc with ldap server on my centos 6.5 server. I have authenticated samba ldap users from windows 7 and windows 8 Pro systems, but Windows 8.1 is not getting authenticated. When i try to join the domain, I always get error i.e. "The following error occurred attempting to join the domain 'Domain1'. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted."

I am able to ping the domain and have configured wins settings on my lan card already. I have tried to find the solutions on internet and got the recommendation to add 'DWORD DomainCompatibilityMode 1 ' under system registry path "HKLM\SYSTEM\CCS\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters" . But when i add this i started getting a new error i.e. "The following error occurred attempting to join the domain 'Domain1'. More data is available"

I am lost and don't know what to do now.

Please suggest.

Note: Samba version : 3.6.9
