ask - mirroring backup


hi all,
I'm trying to do mirroring backup for my linux server ( Centos linux server).
my server hd is using SATA, is there away to do mirroring backup to other HD SATA on same machine or different machine...?

u can backup the hdd on network using rsync

hi prayag,
i tested with rsync, but it seems rsync cannot backup the file system or the whole HD at all.
It only backup certain folders.
i'm sorry if i was wrong, because i just tested now

You could use "dd" to mirror your drive.

Check this thread or use your favorite search engine for more information

Hi,

If you need the full backup of hdd then dd and other tools like clonezilla,dc3dd and other tools are very useful.
