Question Apache2 virtual servers ! ARARARARAARA

Hello first post and all that

So Hello World !

Ok played with apache and apache 2 for ages

But this one I give up on

<VirtualHost <IP Address>:80>
ServerName bbs.myhost.co.uk
DocumentRoot /usr/local/apache/htdocs/myhost
LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %s %b \"%{Referer}i\" \"%{User-agent}i\""
TransferLog /usr/local/apache/logs/myhost_access_log
ErrorLog "/usr/local/apache/logs/myhost_error_log"
</VirtualHost>

(13)Permission denied: httpd: could not open error log file /usr/local/apache/logs/myhost_error_log.

Rem out the errorlog and it moans about the Transferlog !

I have switched to the apache user and I can create files it /usr/local/apache/logs

Rem out both lines and it starts !!!!!!

Well firstly this is really nothing about virtual servers at all. secondly you've not said what distro you are using. I'd *guess* that this is posibly redhat with selinux enabled. does dmesg show any selinux hits? are you running it? what does -ls -l /usr/local/apache/logs say about it's ownership?

Talking Cant help

I agree with cris that this is really nothing about virtual servers. It would be helpful that we get some more info so we can help each other... i mean more basic, like OS etal.
