I'm migrating the php website with extjs(javascripts-based framework) to new server which has higher version of php and apache. But it does not work, it does not load the menu, the content,...
Do I need to enable javascript support for apache? If yes, please give me the instruction. I have googled for this but found nothing.
Do I need to install javascript common?
I have checked the error logs, but there is no important information.
Phat.

Reason: make something exact.
Hi all,
I'm migrating the php website with extjs(javascripts-based framework) to new server which has higher version of php and apache. But it does not work, it does not load the menu, the content,...
And just saying "it does not work", tells us nothing. You don't tell us what version/distro of Linux you're using, what version of Apache, version of PHP, or give us any information from your log files. Have you checked the Apache log files? Error logs?? ANY details at all???

If you want javascript to run, it makes sense that you have to install it first.

If your web pages aren't loading, there are errors generated SOMEWHERE. Since you don't give us any details, we can't help....check ALL your log files for information, and try running Apache in the foreground, to see if you can spot anything. And are you sure that javascript is enabled in your browser?
My webpage is loaded completely. But it does not show the submenu and content, it only shows the titles.
I have double-checked but found no error.
I use the firefox browser, I can browse the old website without any problems, but the new ones encounters with the problem here. I'm sure my browser has javascript enabled.
Ok...so how about trying ANOTHER of the many easily-found guides that you were given? And again, providing details gets you help...if you don't provide any, we can't help you. So saying "doesn't work for me", tells us NOTHING.

If your web page has loaded completely, then you should see the content, right?? There are quite obviously errors somewhere...and unless you find them, there's no way anyone here can help you. Again, have you tried running apache in the foreground, to see what's going on? Which logs have you checked? What do you see when you make a page request, specifically in the apache error log? What are the differences between the two servers?
Although my web page has loaded successfully and I can see its contents, the submenu and its content has not loaded successfully. I have checked the log files in /var/log/apache2/ but found no necessary information, no error record is written. I have tried running Apache in foreground as per your recommendation. But no error is logged in Apache's log files.
The new server is installed with higher version than the old server.
Old server's configuration:
Debian 5 32bit
PHP: 5.2
Mysql: 5.0
Apache 2.2
Just as you stated, I must find the problem myself. But I think this error is pertaining to the code. Because my PHP web page was written with the outdated commands of PHP such as: $HTTP_GET_VARS, ... are no longer used in PHP 5.4. Therefore, I have passed this issue to PHP team for seeking help from them. I cannot modify the code in the web page.
PS: Thank for your strict comments, I will learn how to ask a smart question.
