Apache VirtualDomain showing aliases

I am having an issue with aliases defined in my /etc/http/conf.d directory being displayed across virtualhosts.

I am attempting to setup a public virtualhost and have succeeded in setting up the server to listen on port 81.

When I connect to port 81, it presents the information in the /var/www/html-public

However if I connect to *:80/mrtg and *.81/mrtg both provide me my mrtg directory defined in mrtg.conf

[root@kanga conf.d]# more mrtg.conf
#
# This configuration file maps the mrtg output (generated daily)
# into the URL space. By default these results are only accessible
# from the local host.
#
Alias /mrtg /var/www/mrtg

<Location /mrtg>
Order deny,allow
Deny from all
Allow from 127.0.0.1
Allow from 172.31.11.
Allow from ::1
# Allow from .example.com
</Location>

I would like that information to only be available on port 80 and NOT 81.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi

You need to put that stuff inside the vhost container for the vhost listening on port 80

Cheers

That did it..

By moving the configuration out of the conf.d directory and placing them in the specific VirtualHost directory, the aliases stopped working on the other virtual host.

<VirtualHost *:80>
# MRTG
Alias /mrtg /var/www/mrtg

<Location /mrtg>
Order deny,allow
Deny from all
Allow from 127.0.0.1
Allow from 172.31.11.
Allow from ::1
# Allow from .example.com
</Location>
</VirtualHost>
