Apache upgrade

LQ Eperts,

I have a dedicated server running Apache 2.2.3

For PCI compliance reasons I need to upgrade to 2.2.22 (latest 2.2 series stable release).

I thought I knew my way around a linux server (RHL) but am struggling to get the upgrade to work. I'd be really appreciative of a brief step-by-step on how best to do the upgrade. 2.2.3 is working fine and installed in /etc/httpd

Thanks, in advance,

Steve

When you say RHL I'm guessing you mean RHEL ? .. Red Hat backports all security patches without incrementing the version numbers so there is really no benefit to upgrading other than gaining functionality. This is a common issue that comes up during security reviews.
