Apache Redirect

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but i'm stumped.

I have a joomla site that I want to use as my companies intranet.

currently the URL to access it is intra.xxx.net/joomla. How can I change this so it's intra.xxx.net.

Thanks

Hi,

You didn't say your distro, but you can change the DocumentRoot and add the joomla subdir (e.g. from /var/www to /var/www/joomla).

Regards

I'm using ubuntu 10.04 right now. Latest ver of apache

right now it's set up /var/www/joomla

So should I just copy the contents of the joomla folder directly into /var/www

Doesn't seem right if you wanted to have more than one site.

No don't copy anything.
Just change DocumentRoot in /etc/apache2/sites-available/default to be /var/www/joomla and reload apache

Cheers
