apache mod_proxy_html drupal issue

I'm using mod_proxy_html for accesing web sites behind my server, an example of this issue is with a drupal module "plugin manager" with ajax requests, because the json response is escaped and the html - body tags added, then javascript cannot parse the response.

I cannot find an option for ommit this transformation and only take care of the links. is it possible ?

I know one of the problems is that drupal response is with content type text/html, i change the plugin adding application/json and now works, but it's not a good solution.

Thanks for your help
