Apache htaccess RewriteRule to Nginx

Hi there,

I am in the middle of converting htaccess RewriteRule to nginx.

I understand rewrite rules in htaccess quite well but this one is not clear for me:
Quote:
RewriteRule ^index.php - [L]
I know that "L" means stop processing.
I know that it will rewrite every request which url ends with index.php, but rewrite it for what?
Is there any meaning of "-"?

Last question:
Do you know a good way to convert htaccess rewriterule to nginx configuration?

Thank you very much

The dash means don't modify this request, and the L means stop processing rewrites.
In other words, the following rewrites are not relevant to this request.
