I have an apache 2.2.15 server with the following configuration:

<Directory /srv/www/htdocs/site/images>
Options Indexes
Allowoverride None
</Directory>

My problem is that it lists what is below http://site/images and one level below like for example http://site/images/buttons but it does not list underneath so for example http://site/images/buttons/green ends up in an Access Forbidden instead of directory listing.

I tried to add
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
but that was not of any help.

Would someone please tell me what do I need to do so that all subdirectories are listed even if there are 15 levels below?

Check permissions of /srv/www/htdocs/site/images/buttons/green and make sure it has the execute bit on:
