Apache 2.0 header/readme file trouble

I just reinstalled Apache 2.0 after switching from Windows to Linux (Ubuntu distro) last week, and I've been trying to get my file server up and running again.

I've managed the basic installation (after a crapload of annoying issues with file permissions and just getting Apache to start up), but my installation is A LOT different than my Windows installation... and my header/readme files are acting up. On my old installation, I used this to just use two central header/readme files:

Code:

ReadmeName /README.html
HeaderName /HEADER.html

And it worked like a dream, but now, it doesn't seem to be using them period. I also tried using /vars/www/README.html and similar for the header, but no cigar with that, either.

If the file server's on when you check, you can see what I mean here: theta.paralyze.us/Anime/, where /Anime, should look pretty much like the layout on the index.

Anyone got this one figured out? ^^;;
