Allowing FTP on Squid Proxy Server

Hello,

I was just wondering if there is any way that FTP requests on port 21 can be allowed through a transparent proxy server running Squid Proxy Server. All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

No, not with transparent proxying. Have a look at the Squid FAQ for an explanation. You could make a direct connection to squid (set its host/port in your browser settings) on the boxes that need FTP and let your other boxes connect using the transparent config.
