Adding FC4 Systems to Windows Domain
I work for a student organization and we have a Windows domain that has been setup and established for a few years now. Several months ago we added a few computers with Fedora Core 4 installed so that we could compile and run software that we were creating. Because we were in the middle of a big project, these computers sat outside of the domain for a while, but now that we have some time, I would like to make them part of the Windows domain.
First of all, I have the same username on both the Windows and Linux computers, and I was able to setup kerberos so that I can enter my username and my Windows password into the linux prompt and I could login to the Linux computer and everything looked correct. I imagine this is a significant first step.
What I would like to do is have home directories from the Windows domain be mounted automatically when a user logs in (either instead of the user's linux home directory or mount them both).
Also, I would like to have each user on the Windows Domain become a user on the Linux machines, without adding each one individually if possible.
The Windows Domain is administered from Windows Server 2003 using Active Directory. Any information you guys can give or point me towards would be great. I've been a Linux user for a while, but the last few months have been my first try at Linux Administration, so you can assume I know the basics of using the system, but not necessarily administering it.
Thanks,
