Accessing Debian Samba share from OS X Lion

Hi guys,
I've just upgraded my Mac to Lion, and I found that it no longer sees my Debian (Lenny) home server running Samba.

With Snow Leopard it worked perfectly out-of-the-box.

I managed to connect Lion to it by manually mounting the smb share (Finder->Connect to server->smb://MY-SERVER/my_share), but I still can't see my server in the "shared" section in Finder.

I noticed that if I restart the samba server it appears in my Finder, but it stays there only until the next standby/reboot of my Mac, than it disappears, while the manually mounted share keeps working.

Is there any way to have Samba "announce itself louder" so that Lion can always see it as Snow Leopard did?
