about "/ " in san boot environment
Hi,
anyone can please tell me whether "/" can be mounted as LVM under VG in san boot environment. regards, chethu.prakrithi |
no reason why not, the different elements you mention don't really know anything about each other. If a normal ext3 filesystem works from a SAN, them an LV must do too etc... are you having problems?

thank u for reply,
no i am not facing any issue.since i am project deployment guy normally we will not create "/" and "/boot" as lvm in oracle environment. But in case if free space is required to the "/" we cannot increase right.?.so this is the question just popped up in mind. regards, chethu.prakrithi |
/boot is the only thing that lives otside of LVM. I've plenty of servers with local LVM / partitions.
