About ddclient.conf

Hi folks,

Previously I ran "satimis.homelinux.com" as domain registered with dyndns.org

# /etc/ddclient.conf

Code:

daemon=600
pid=/var/run/ddclient.pid
use=web, web=checkip.dyndns.org/, web-skip='IP Address'
login=(login)
password=(password)
protocol=dyndns2
server=members.dyndns.org
wildcard=YES
#use=if, if=eth0
#satimis.homelinux.com
example.dyndns.org
custom=yes, example.com

Each time IP address of the server changed the IP address on dyndns.com website also changed.
(remark: IP address only changed on connection)

Now I'm running "satimis.freeddns.com" as domain registered with "http://www.changeip.com/". Please advise how to change "ddclienc.conf".

I'm installing ddclient-3.7.0 (current version) on my server right now. From it's README file:

I have "satimis.homelinux.com" registered with dyndns.org/com about 3 weeks ago. But I'm unablet to make it to work. I suspect that I haven't configured relevant files of ddclient properly.

However I can't resolve why the IP address of "satimis.homelinux.com" on dyndns.com server is updated automatically whenever the IP address of my server changes, if the files are not properly configured.

Could you please shed me some light. Pointers would be appreciated. I expect to reconfigure all relevant file of ddclient. TIA

How often does ddclient check the IP addresss??

Since dyndns is free, shall we login every month on the webpage of dyndns.org ??
