Hi Friends,
Our client has RHEL 5.4 in 5 systems. Only one server (say SysA) can connect to internet. What they want is SysA should be made a YUM server and all the other 4 systems a YUM client to SysA. They have licence to download rpms via RHN. But for some reasons, they dont want to copy the rpms from DVD. So, we wish to suggest a mirroring option similar to this link:
http://www.howtoforge.com/creating_a...ository_centos
so that an rsync could be made to completely download the rpms to SysA server and later createrepo could be used to create repository.
We, at our office, do not have an RHN registration, so we could not try this on our own. Expecting your valuable info on whether this is (rsyncing the whole rpms) possible in Red Hat similar to what is possible via CentOS.
If not possible, is there any alternative which we could look into?
Thanks a lot.
Saagar
