[need help] ProFTPd problems

Hi
Using Fedora 11
Code:

sudo yum proftpd-1.3.2-2.fc11.i586.rpm

sudo chkconfig --level 235 proftpd on
sudo service proftpd start

Starting proftpd:                                          [FAILED]

or

Code:

sudo /etc/init.d/proftpd start
Starting proftpd:                                          [FAILED]

Somewhere i read that i should change ServerType to initd.
But even after this step no results, still FAILED to start

Firewall disabled
SeLinux disabled

What reason can be how can i get it work??????
Please help.

UPD

executing next command i got :
Code:

sudo proftpd &
[1] 5259
$  - warning: unable to determine IP address of 'FBox'
  - error: no valid servers configured
  - Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd.conf'

[1]+  Exit 1                  sudo proftpd

AND

Code:

$ sudo proftpd -t6
Checking syntax of configuration file
 - warning: unable to determine IP address of 'FBox'
 - error: no valid servers configured
 - Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd.conf'

It clean ProFTPd setup.
What should i change in config file ?

Think you should try another FTP-server, much easier and good documentation! vsftpd is the name and here is their homepage: http://vsftpd.beasts.org/

solved

problem was in /etc/hosts
Code:

127.0.0.1  localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4
192.168.1.44 FBox
::1        localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6

i've added exact local address and hostname of my PC to the list

after i got error like "Fatal: Socket operation on non-socket"
solution was: "You have ProFTPD configured to run in inetd mode rather than standalone."

after those manipulations everything worked
