Does anyone have any information regarding security flaws in wireless devices like keyboards and mice? I would imagine that if bluetooth and wifi have intercepters, other wireless devices will as well.
Several years ago I read an article about some Hewlett Packard wireless keyboards and mice that had a signal strength sufficient to confuse an identical computer in another house. I stopped using wireless keyboards and mice as I became increasingly security conscious.
I actually had that happen on a Memorex wireless keyboard a few times. Randomly it would pick up interference on the keyboard and start typing random phrases from someone nearby. Bluetooth would likely have a shorter range that the RF or IR keyboards. Presumably it would be vulnerable to blusnarfing though. IMHO I don't like them and think they should at least employ some rudimentary encryption before I ever use one again.
