wifi wep key crack

Hey guys, look i am a prospective linux noob.
so...

I am running a laptop with xp and i have a slackware live cd my wifi card is a atheros 5005G (Atheros, Wireless LAN, WLAN, 2.4/5-GHz, 802.11a/b/g, 802.11b/g, 802.11n, Radio-on-a-Chip, Overview, Networking, Products and Technology)

Since i started on my linux journey all i have wanted to do was crack the WEP key of this business next door to me, i have come close (kinda, maybe, i think)

please stop what your thinking i do not have bad intentions, i REALLY (and i do mean really) wanna do it so i can work out a way to kkep noobs out of wifi networks, i can make some cash helping small companies out.

is their anyone, ANYONE!!!!! that can show me how to do this.
but seriously i am still a noob so ill need step by step help, i would even appreciate it if you could point me in a decent direction as all the reading i have done thus far does not help me or is written for linux pro's.

also this network has sharing disabled, is that a bad thing? can it be worked around?

Two sentences:
1) what you're asking is illegal and anybody who might help you would not be doing anything legal either
2) no matter what the reasons, it's still illegal - if it's business, you first do a contract and then start working (NOT so that you first illegally crack something and then go asking for money to tell how to fix it)

Secondly, wep keys are easily cracked as you can read from the news. But it's still illegal.

The LQ rules are pretty clear regarding cracking information. As has already been mentioned, even if your intentions aren't bad (it's not like we have any way to know this for sure anyway), what you are asking would indeed require a member to violate the LQ rules in order to help you. Don't ask for help with these type of questions here at LQ. Thread closed.
