All,

Think I have a virus! How and where do I submit my disk image for analysis?

Cheers!

What are you experiencing that makes you think you have a virus?

Have you made any recent disk/partition images or backups from which you could restore?

Short answer: submit the image to your IT supplier and have them deal with it.
Long answer: probably nobody. Instead, why not describe the actions leading up to your conclusion and the current issues?
There are a fair few people on here into security but this is more like a self-help group than a paid-for support site.

I suggest you run ClamTK to see if you actually have a virus.

You can upload suspect files to https://virustotal.com for examination by 50+ engines for an analysis.
They do not do "disk images".

I guess LQ Security References has links for such tasks.

Best to know, why do you think you have a virus?

Incorrect; you *CAN* have viruses and rootkits in Linux. It is not (as NOTHING is), 100% secure. It is more secure than Windows by a huge margin, but not invulnerable. Saying or implying it is, is totally misleading and incorrect. A very brief Google search will tell you otherwise:

Indeed, the first virus was a Unix virus, though admittedly *nix viruses are quite rare these days. Rootkits are a bit more commmon in *nix-World.

I'm curious to hear from OP why he thinks he has a virus.
