Using Torsocks to hide the i.p. address question(s)

Ubuntu 14.04 lts here

I installed Torsocks in terminal by typing:
$ sudo apt-get install tor torsocks

Now, the question is, if using Firefox (or Google Chrome or Chromium), what command do I now type into terminal to then make my browser have a pseudo i.p. address when I visit web pages

Hmmm, that gave me a list of different things to do, but I guess I need someone to give me baby steps and simple instructions on exactly what to type into to terminal to

1) activate torsocks
2) tell torsocks to hide my ip address when using firefox and/or google chrome or chromium

then i take it you have NOT read the documentation on the tor web site

if you use your Normal everyday web browser with all the plugins , with javasctipt enabled and with video plugins and with flash
and with all the hundreds of third party cookies

you ARE NOT HIDDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

The OPs question isn't a Linux Security one so I'm moving this thread to the Linux Software forum.

please read the tor site

torsocks will hide just one thing but not the rest

think of it this way

if you have a "flower power" painted VW micro bus ( your computer) and hide the license plate ( torsocks)
the police ( leo and isp, mpaa,...) will still KNOW it is "YOU"
if you are the ONLY hippy painted vw bus in town ( your computer electronic SIGNATURE )

the same for that orange painted car with a "01" painted on "the general lee"
rosco and boss hog KNEW who was in the car
