ssh server
I want to set up a ssh server so clients can drop files via winscp.
ssh will be the only service active on this machine. Do I need to put a firewall between this machine and the inet? I'm assuming that regular password changes and log inspection should be sufficient security for this lightly employed server.
I thought I might use iptables to restrict access based on source ip address as well.
Thanks in advance

if you just want to give clients winscp access, then you should install/change their shell to scponly. this way...the client will not have terminal access to your linux box, and they will not be able to run any scripts.
i hope this helps.
