Squid Proxy, User Authentication
 
Hi all !

I am a linux student, can anyone send me details how to configure squid proxy to authenticate the users.
And authentication by linux system or NT account database.

How to restrict users to access proxy through user authenctication system ?

Well this is not the right forum to ask the question. Authentification is a basic feature of squid. If you need tutorials why don't you do a small search ?

Note that squid won't authenticate all services - you will need to use iptables or ipchains for that.
