Spyware/Adware - Hope in right spot

I am wondering is there any software (hopefully free) that removes any spyware/adware from a Linux system. I'm using Mandrake 10.1 Community Edition. I prefer it to be all in an RPM package as I'm not that great at source code compiling...for now.

Thanks...

AFAIK there is no spy/adware written for Linux - what gives you the idea that you are infected?

I didn't know that there wasn't, I just had stuff on my system when I ran Windows XP on my system, which got infected quite a bit with spyware/adware tracking stuff. I just don't want stuff on my system that tracks what I do on it.

Usually, Ad/Spyware takes advantage of Internet Explorer and the way Windows is set up (the fact that you are not stopped from running solely as administrator). Linux doesn't have these concerns. Basic security tips:
Never never run as root - this will allow you to accidentally delete necessary files and will allow trojans to take over your system, running as your user only will mean that only your /home directory is damaged.
Get a firewall - if you don't feel up to adjusting IPTables by hand get GuardDog or Firestarter, they'll do it for you.
If you are serving files to Windows users, get an anti virus program - just because we don't have a virus problem doesn't mean you can't pass them on.
And of course, don't run any programs that you are not sure of.

I'm moving this to Linux-Security, where you will probably get more useful advice.
