slapd ignoring hosts.deny

hello!

i can't understand what's going on here: my openldap server, although compiled with tcp wrapper support (as per default in debian etch), merrily ignores entries in hosts.deny... my tftp server accepts/refuses connections accordingly, same applies to sshd, but for some reason the ldap server is world accessible, anybody got a clue as to what might be wrong? i noticed even portmap is affected by the same problem... thanks in advance

you can block the LDAP port by iptables firewall rule.
