setting permissions


How do i do the following please? I do not know how to set this

"ENSURE that the permissions for root's crontab are set to 600"

As root, on the commandline or in an Xterm do "stat /var/spool/cron/root" (or "ls -l <file>"); check the first "Access:" line for the permissions, should read "0600". If not change it: "chmod 0600 /var/spool/cron/root".
