I tried to use "mount -o remount,ro /data" , but it shows "can't find /data/home/staff/a/ in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab" . Please help.

Hi,

What exactly is the mount point of the partition? What are the corresponding lines in /etc/mtab and /etc/fstab? And are you sure that is the command you issued?

Evo2.

Thank you so much. Finally, I used the following command to set a -z home directory to be read-only.

sudo chmod -R u=rx,g=rx /data/home/user/a/*

sudo chmod -R u=rx,g=rx /data/home/user/z/*
