Sendmail Group Writable Directory

I've seen this *problem* for about a year now but my research resulted in it not being that big a deal, but now I am just annoyed with it.

Sendmail is dumping a lot of similar messages to this:
/home/agu/.forward.hulk: Group writable directory: 14 Times(s)
/home/agu/.forward: Group writable directory: 14 Times(s)

I have about 40+ users so my daily logwatch is full of these.

I'm using sendmail-8.12.8-9.90 on a Red Hat 9 machine. It's internal only with no Internet access so I'm not too concerned about the version of sendmail being old (security wise).

How can I fix this?
