SELINUX Management
OK i have Fedora 12 with the gnome desktop (if the desktop matters) and I am trying to run a program with WINE but when I install it SELINUX prevents it from accesing the interenet so it wont install.
Yes I trust the program its no threat I just need to know how to configure SELINUX
I am a linux newbie but am fairly familiar and comfortable if you give specific commands

Hi,
what is the distro you are using else paste the o/p of uname -a
Type following commands , do it as root ,
getsebool -a | grep -i wine
find out the SELINUX objects of wine and switch it OFF by entering 0 value to them and try installing wine

Hi,
Can you provide me with details of the application that you are trying to install and also try to check the seaudit GUI for some logs related to your application , as from what I see from your above post , SELINUX doesnt seems to affect wine executable , so what that is prohibiting you from installing the application should be the default installation path which SELINUX can affect by denying access to the path for all users , anyways plz post the application name for further investigation.
thanks,
