SELinux Information

I'm looking for information regarding the use of SELinux. I do not mean information about what SELinux is; I mean information about how to use it. For example, how does one write policies? How does one get a basic understanding of how SELinux actually works.

Presumably SELinux is somewhat similar across distributions, but in case it is not, I'm running Fedora core 10.

I recognize that SELinux is probably not learned in a day, but some basic guidelines would be nice. Even searching "SELinux" in google is not very helpful.

If this post already exists please redirect.

Thank-you

There are several good references for SELinux. Unfortunately none of them are very basic. I've provided links to the sources that have worked best for me.

The NSA developed SELinux, and their site has a wealth of good information on it. The same site also gives access to the SELinux mailing list.

My next favorite source for SELinux material is a book called "SELinux: NSA's Open Source Security Enhanced Linux"

Another excellent source of information is "The Unofficial SELinux FAQ"

I'll post more links as I find them.

Here's a pretty good one. Not sure why I didn't find it earlier:

SELinux User Guide
on the Fedora Project website.
