Question Security Enhanced Linux design

Hey all,

I was wondering if someone would help me understand this better. How would one go about designing security parameters and then setting up SEL modules. Any links that could clear this up would be tremendous.

Here's a link to a report entitled Configuring the SELinux Policy. Here's a link to the National Security Agency's SELinux homepage.

Ok. I've changed the permissions but does anyone know if these are "parameters"? If not then what do parameters consist of? SEL modules? Here's what I have.

# This file controls the state of SELinux on the system.
# SELINUX= can take one of these three values:
# enforcing - SELinux security policy is enforced.
# permissive - SELinux prints warnings instead of enforcing.
# disabled - SELinux is fully disabled.
SELINUX=enforcing
# SELINUXTYPE= type of policy in use. Possible values are:
# targeted - Only targeted network daemons are protected.
# strict - Full SELinux protection.
SELINUXTYPE=strict
