Script problem


Hello all

the temp1 script has following line

rsh -l root 172.16.3.2 sh create_user LOC1

but it give error like below when i am running.

select: protocol failure in circuit setup

But the rsh is fine. we can run the same line in command prompt. when i put that above line in script..it gives error.

kindly help me

Hi

The Script content is like...

rsh -l root 172.16.3.2 sh create_user LOC1
rsh -l root 172.16.3.2 sh scr1
rsh -l root 172.16.3.2 sh scr2
rsh -l root 172.16.3.2 sh scr3
rsh -l root 172.16.3.2 sh scr4
rsh -l root 172.16.3.2 sh scr5

hello i can run the scr# files from my machine thro' this script. But first line only gave problem what i mentioned before.

Could you possibly use ssh in place of rsh?

ie..

ssh <user>@<host> adduser <username>

Then you could get to the <host> computer and setup a password for that <user>

Are you programming in bash or what shell are you using?

I am using bash only. ssh is working well. But i want to use rsh here.
