Replacement for Securemote VPN-1

Hi at work they use securemote which is a vpn client to connect to the VPN. This software is for windows, but is nothing more than a client, my question is if I have a linux desktop, how can I go about it to sign in with a linux box.

would this be something similar to a kvpn?
