Recommendation for Router/Firewall

I'm currently using Gentoo as my router/firewall. I'd like to relace it with a distro that is developed specifically for this purpose...

I'm looking for something that works out the box pretty much... I was looking at Vyatta, but I'm not sure I can add functionality to that. I would like to be able to add software if I choose, like squid, or some type of intrusion detection, etc...

If I could request some recommendations, and why, that would be great! This will run on minimal hardware, so X is out the question.

I've used these two:

http://www.ipcop.org/

http://www.smoothwall.org/

They both work great, but I think I prefer IPCop. It's more community driven and I liked the Interface better. They both install easy and you can configure everything from the web interface.
