I have a GPG key that expires, according to gpg --list-key, on 12-31-2008. What I'm aiming for with this is a key that expires precisely when the new year rolls over.
My question is this: Does a key expire at the start of the day denoted, or at the end of that day?

Not sure but one thing you can do is set the date of your system to 12-31-2008 then see if it tells you it is expired ...
