Problems compiling Amap

Hi there,

I'm currently trying to compile Amap 4.8 on Mandrake 10.1 but I'm running into problems. I can run a ./configure --prefix=/usr without any error messages but as soon as I run make I get the following output.

[mex@xxxxxx amap-4.8]$ make
cd pcre-3.9 && make
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/mex/Tobedeleted/amap-4.8/pcre-3.9'

make: *** [amap] Error 1

I have had a look in the README and it mentions a problem with OpenSSL on RedHat so I've tried a couple of different versions but I keep getting the same problem.

Does anyone have any input on this one?

Greetings, Mike

It should compile if you do the configure step without the --prefix=/usr option. You'll still see the informational deprecation warnings, but the compilation won't fail.
